Mazda switches distribution from Antwerp to Barcelona
01 Jul 2003
The Japanese car maker Mazda has moved its Southern Europe distribution hub from Antwerp to Barcelona, where it will make use of Barcelona Autoterminal. The move was prompted by better value added services and good customs clearance. Vehicles will be shipped in from the US, Thailand and Japan on either weekly or ten-day schedules and rotated out to Spain, Portugal and France by rail and road and to Italy by short-sea shipping to the ports of Genova, Salerno and Palermo.
