Bulk Handling Quick Erection Storage Buildings

Ticking the storage boxes

When it comes to storage, ports are all seeking the same thing: a sturdy, weatherproof facility at minimum cost and disruption, according to Amanda Clarkson of Collinson, BestHall’s UK representative. “They want a storage space uninterrupted by stanchions to enable free movement of forklift trucks, etc. Some want a controlled interior environment to maintain product moisture levels.

This can be achieved easily in a sealed BestHall building fitted with dehumidification equipment.” BestHall’s range has been expanded and buildings are available up to 100 metres span, she says. In addition, methods of erection have been adapted to cope with restricted site footprint.

“All types of doors are offered, to give access to plant/vehicles as required. Buildings are available with concrete walls or bunkers for bulk materials. “Linkspan buildings offer maximum storage area with minimum height. The steel frame can be designed to bear interior equipment such as cranes, winches and conveyors. Inner linings can be fitted, protecting the steel frame from corrosion when storing materials producing corrosive gases.”
