Kalmar stakes claim in Thai success

Port equipment supplier Kalmar has broken new ground in Thailand, with more than 20 of its RTGs in operation in the country’s ports.
At Thailand’s main container port, Laem Chabang, four of the seven terminal operators have opted for Kalmar RTGs, with the most recent orders for six units for a new terminal still under construction and five units for Evergreen Container Terminal (Thailand) Co Ltd.
“ The RTGs ability to stack containers up to 6+1 high allows us to optimise our cargo volumes,” said Sukthita Pongpeomperk,operations manager at Laem Chabang terminal B3.
