The southern Indian ports of Chennai,Tuticorin, Ennore and Kochi (Vallarpadam) will shortly have new container terminals as the result of €586m of private investment. The planned facilities at Chennai and Tuticorin will be second container terminals, while that at Vallarpadam is a planned €385m transhipment terminal. Ennore’s €67m container terminal will be its first.
