Sydney seeks contractor for port expansion

Sydney Ports Corporation has issued a call for a design and construction contractor to expand the port at Botany.
Registrations of Interest need to be submitted by November 1 in a prescribed format, which can be obtained by emailing botany.terminal. project@sydneyports.com.au. After that deadline has passed, Sydney Ports will select a shortlist and invite those contractors to tender for the construction in the first quarter of 2007.
The project is to provide a container terminal with 1850m berth length (five berths) and backup area through the reclamation of about 60 hectares of land adjacent to the existing container terminals at the port. The successful tenderer will be selected around September.
