Mexico calls for Ports Law reform
03 Nov 2007
Port terminal operators in Mexico are campaigning for a reform of the national Ports Law to enable them to widen investment and growth possibilities.
The National Association of Maritime and Port Terminals has already sent a list of proposals to the Mexican parliament.
At present, concession holders can only expand their concession area by
a maximum of 20%, which is seen as a major limitation at a time of
increasing traffic growth.
