APM comes under attack in Nigeria

APM Terminals in Apapa Port in Nigeria has been accused of reducing the number of containers forwarded to bonded terminal operators in the area. This has resulted in many of them going out of business or being forced to lay off workers.

Owners of the bonded terminals complained that if better use were made of their facilities, there would be less congestion at the port.

In related news, APM Terminals, in partnership with Angolan investor Gestão de Fundos, has been awarded a concession to manage the container terminal at the port of Luanda for 20 years.
