Including rail sidings and a two-hectare warehouse, the acquisition takes the port’s land holdings to 176 hectares of which 30 hectares are available for immediate development.

The port recently declared a comparable 22.4% rise in after-tax profit to NZ$37.97m ($28.1m) and 14.6% increase in revenue to NZ$140.3m ($104m).
