Panama Canal forecasts revenue increase
12 Apr 2008
The Panama Canal is forecasting continuing growth for fiscal 2008, despite the economic problems currently faced by US.
Of the $2bn that will constitute total revenue, $1.83bn will come from tolls and related services derived from ships transiting the Canal.
So, despite the fall in the numbers of
containers and volume of dry bulk noted since the end of 2007, total revenue
will continue to rise.
