12 Jul 2008
Panama Port Authority is aiming to boost its logistics provision to enable national ports to operate as international hubs.
The canal authority is keen to capitalise on increased traffic on the back of its expansion
Port facilities will receive $2bn of new investment, most of which will be sourced from the private sector.
The aim is to persuade the traffic passing through the Panama Canal to make better use of onshore facilities.
