Rostima rolls-out workforce management contracts

Workforce management specialist Rostima is gearing up for two large scale roll-outs of its products in Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking to Port Strategy, Stephen Aitken, general manager for Rostima in Asia confirmed that installations with the Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Johor Bahru and with DP World in Jebel Ali are due to start imminently, running through until the end of June.

Mr Aitken said: "The beta versions are working well and we are now on site training the expert users and certifying them. The market response has been fantastic and we have confirmation to date from eight ports around the globe that will also want to implement based on our success at PTP and Jebel Ali."

Rostima is installing its enterprise workforce management suite which includes Labour Planning, Resource Scheduling, Employee Kiosk, Leave and Training Planner, Time and Attendance with interfaces to Berth Planning, Payroll, TOS (for employee incentive payments based on box moves) and Staff Security systems.

"It is very busy at the moment making sure we deliver to these two large ports and we are excited about the further doors that could be opened as a result in the stevedoring industry."
