Contship Italia has emphasised its commitment to the port of Cagliari by rejecting speculation that it is to pull out of Cagliari International Container Terminal.
It says the speculation is misplaced and points out that negotiations with existing shipping line customers are in progress.
The company said it hopes to find a positive outcome. The speculation emerged against a backdrop of decreasing throughput at the container terminal.
