Bromma electrified by APM order

Bromma has won a contract to supply APM Terminals' West Africa Container Terminal with five YTS45E all-electric, separating twin-lift crane spreaders.

These cutting-edge spreaders will be the first placed into servce in the world. Bromma has replaced hydraulics with electrical functions, reducing weight and energy costs, making the spreader good for the environment, and good for the bootom line of terminal operators.

The Stockholm-based group is also celebrating its largest order to date for the STS45E all-electric separating twin-lift spreader.

The Malta Freeport terminal has purchased six ship-to-shore units for delivery to their major transshipment centre in the Mediterranean.

This is in addition to nine all-electric yard crane spreaders - the YSX40E - and three Bromma YTS45 separating yard twin-lift spreaders also on order for delivery to the terminal during 2008.
