Cutting UK supply chain costs
11 Jun 2008
Logistics specialist Import Services is offering a cash flow advantage to UK importers with a bonded storage within a short distance of Southampton Port.
While consumer products are held at the company's bonded facilities, VAT and customs duty is deferred until the stock leaves the warehouse and is in ‘free circulation’ within the European community. Even then, payment is only due at the end of the month in which the goods are dispatched.
The company has two 10,000 pallet HM Revenue and Customs approved storage facilities to help importers looking to cut cost in their supply chain.
