Four front

With so many lighting companies vying for port business, it can be difficult to choose the right product.

The Prismalence lighting system is based on the revolutionary and efficient broad spectrum CDM light source and an optical system that allows near-parallel light beams to be evenly distributed from the reflector across a perfectly defined rectangular area via an asymmetrical lens.

There are many benefits to this system. The end results are of the highest quality in terms of visibility, colour reproduction and power. It also has a long life span of the light source, more than 16,000 hours and 30 years for the armature. It also allows for energy savings of 50% to more than 1000%.

Abacus offers a number of mast systems and top quality lights which can be used in ports. Some of the top lighting products include the Rhea: AL5210, a low weight floodlight that can be used in ports and other applications; the Challenger 1: AL5760, a top flat glass floodlight and the Thea: AL5400 light.

In addition to these examples, ports can also take advantage of some of Abacus' mast systems – for example, the RLW system, which is ideal because it can operate in confined spaces, and in addition, allows for easy installation and maintenance at ground level – thanks to its electrically powered winch system which can lower the head frame to the ground.

Tranberg on the other hand specialises in low-voltage lanterns and lantern control systems. The products have a 20-year warranty and are reliable, safe and provide very good value for money.

The Tranberg 24V systems, for example, offer a number of advantages – durable light sources and slim chances of any leakage in the lanterns. They are also designed with easy installation and accessibility in mind.

Tranberg floodlights are also ideal for professional marines and ports. Tranberg uses the best materials allowing for high performance, strength, low maintenance and longevity. Floodlights are available with halogen, metal halide or high press sodium bulb and wide and narrow beam from 200W to 1000W.

Meanwhile, Carmanah is responsible for a wide range of products suitable for all aspects of port and marine lighting. The company's solar powered systems (including marine lanterns) can be used for marker buoys, security, lighting remote areas of ports and providing power for modern harbour buildings. In addition, Carmanah's products also take an environmentally friendly stance by using solar power.
