Kribi construction starts in Cameroon

The president of Cameroon has attended the stone laying ceremony for the new deepwater port at Kribi, 4 km south of Mboro.
Initial investment of €366m ($506m) is being made, of which €207m is in the form of a loan from Eximbank and €36m from the government of Cameroon.
Exports such as iron ore, cobalt, alumina and hydrocarbons, as well as agribulk, will use the new facility, which will open in 2014.
