Compliants investigated over Acu port development
Rio De Janeiro's State Council for Human Rights has received complaints of coercion and a lack of respect from residents of São João da Barra concerning the state's Açu super port development.
Land belonging to the residents is being expropriated by the state's Industrial Development Company as part of the LLX development.
The council has therefore instigated an investigation into the alleged irregularities, all of which are denied by both entrepreneurs and the government.
However, the President of the Council has publicly stated that there are flaws in the process.
