Aqaba port workers strike

On December 7, 3,200 workers of the Aqaba Port Corporation went on strike in protest against the Board of Directors who had failed to implement an agreement to improve working conditions.
Workers are seeking a raft of measures, including changes to the shift system and awarding full-time contracts to 800 day labourers.
