During the official opening ceremony for the new Liebherr factory, BEGA Baltic Stevedoring company signed a contract with the company for a crane to handle bulk commodities at its terminals in Klaipeda.

Three of the postPanamax cranes, capable of handling a 19-wide deck stow, will go into operation at TraPac's existing terminal in Los Angeles and the remaining two will be employed at a new terminal to be built in Jacksonville at Dames Point. The former units will be delivered and commissioned at the end of 2007 and the three units for Los Angeles by March 2008.

The factory is well situated to serve all of the Baltic ports and Scandinavia. Since beginning its activities in 1992, more than €40m has been invested in the construction of new terminals and infrastructure by the company.
