MAFI RoRo Tractor MT 36

Bemo Rail's general manager, Teun Druijf told PS that the three partners were selected from a shortlist of six bidders. The award followed a lengthy pre-selection process which was narrowed down to a final shortlist of two. Bemo Rail's portion of the contract will be to provide rail paths for the terminal's quay cranes and RMGs, as well as the rails for the rail terminal and the crane rails for the rail terminal. They will also install a rail system to move the locomotives from one rail to another. The contract is worth €62m, will commence late this year or early next year and is due to be completed by 2007/8.

In last month's issue we erroneously printed this photo with the wrong caption. The correct caption is: MAFI RoRo Tractor MT 36 in operation at Port of Rostock loading and unloading paper from Finland.
