PortVision launches dock management module

Software specialist PortVision has extended its TerminalSmart program to include a Dock Management module.
TerminalSmart Dock Management System can combine job scheduling, activity logging, and high-value business intelligence, utilisation, and demurrage reporting.
“Until now, most marine terminals used paper-based and spreadsheet-based systems in order to schedule and manage dock operations and activities,” said Dean Rosenberg, PortVision chief executive.
“This limits productivity, causes redundant data entry, increases errors, and makes it difficult to monitor, analyse and optimise operational efficiency. With the TerminalSmart DMS, companies significantly improve their understanding of resource usage, outage and availability.”
