Liebherr wins Ngqura contract

Liebherr adds to Ngqura handling capacity

Crane manufacturer Liebherr has confirmed a contract to add six megamax container cranes to handling capability at the Port of Ngqura.

The South African port already has 19 Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes in operation at its Transnet facilities.

The new cranes will have an operational outreach of (61.00m) to service the latest megamax-size containerships. The cranes are also equipped with expandable twin-lift telescopic spreaders allowing the handling of 20', 40', 2 x 20' and 45' containers.
