Biomass markets spur port development

The market for wood pellets is at present estimated at 10 million tonnes a year but its predicted to grow sharply

Demand for biomass is spurring a number of new initiatives on different sides of the globe. The first biomass exchange is to be launched in Rotterdam, while in the US, Georgia is upgrading one of its terminals to cater for pellets.
