Antwerp XL attracts key stakeholders from across the breakbulk industry

All new exhibition for the breakbulk sector, Antwerp XL, has received support from breakbulk specialists across the globe.

Hosted by the Port of Antwerp, the inaugural event is being strategically held in the heart of the breakbulk sector,

Hartel Shipping & Chartering, global logistics expert Samskip, maritime service provider Conti7 and storage and handling specialist Overt are just some of the big names already signed up to this event.

We are excited to be involved with Antwerp XL, which will be the most important exhibition for the breakbulk industry worldwide,’ explains Kevin Stephens, Chairman of Project Professionals Group, a specialist in the handling of project cargo and another confirmed partner of the show who will also be hosting seminars and workshops at the event.

‘This inaugural event will once again give us the opportunity to present to cargo owners and specialised transportation professionals from around the globe.’

Launched just eight weeks ago, Antwerp XL is already attracting a wide range of companies specializing in heavy-lift, specialised shipments and those involved in moving the world’s largest cargoes.

Euroports, one of the largest port infrastructure companies in Europe, and multinational logistics group Grimaldi are the latest companies to join the line-up.

As well as local experts such as Wijngaard Natie Terminals, freight forwarder Boeckmans Belgie and international logistics provider Herfurth Logistics, the event has also attracted companies from further afield.

American Roll on Roll off Carriers, the Port of Duqm in Oman and Liburnia Maritime Croatia are all exhibiting on the back of the show’s prime location.

“Antwerp XL is the global meeting point for all specialists in the field of steel and project cargo. Already, the event has resulted in a new transshipment flow via our terminal from Russia to the Mediterranean, by bringing two of our existing customers in contact with each other” explains Dirk Mondelaers, General Manager, Wijngaard Natie Terminals.

Antwerp is situated in a prime location in Europe with good trimodal connectivity – barge, rail and truck. The Port boasts a dense network of regular breakbulk sailings and importantly, all the major breakbulk carriers have a presence.

The three-day conference and exhibition provides an ideal platform for cargo owners and specialised transportation professionals from across the globe to meet, conduct business, learn and network. A networking party on the evening of day one will be hosted by the lead sponsor, the Port of Antwerp.

Antwerp XL is organised by Easyfairs, one of the world’s fastest growing exhibition organisers. Headquartered in Brussels, Easyfairs has extensive experience within the manufacturing, oil & gas, cargo, maritime, transport & logistics industries and runs over 220 exhibitions worldwide.

Antwerp XL will take place in Antwerp on 7-9 May 2019. For more information visit www.antwerpxl.com or please contact Nick Powell; Event Director at: Nick.Powell@easyfairs.com and Sophie McKimm Sophie.McKimm@easyfairs.com
