Gantrex has recently announced the launch of a whole new product category to its portfolio, the TrenchLok™ Cable Trench Cover.

Indeed, when the crane travels, the power cables unwinding from the cable reels are tidily laid down in a trench. The TrenchLok™ system consists of a continuous semi-flexible belt, made of a steel reinforced rubber. This belt lies over a corrosion-resistant steel channel cast in the quay. The TrenchLok™ reinforced rubber belt covers that trench, keeping the cables protected. The belt is fixed to the quay surface along one edge, while the other edge remains free to be lifted in a vertical position by a belt lifting device fitted to the crane. The belt returns to its closed position as soon as the crane has passed.
