Institute launches company-specific qualifications for the ports industry

The Port and Terminal Management Diplomas provide companies with a quality solution for training new starters and for those wishing to further their career in port management, based on the following levels:

Foundation Diploma in Port and Terminal Management – ideal for new entrants to the industry who would like to gain practical knowledge and a sound qualification.

Advanced Diploma in Port and Terminal Management – a stepping stone into full professional qualification and suit those who have some industry knowledge.

Professional Qualifying Exams (PQE) – comprises 7 exams (4 core and 3 specialisms) from a choice of 16 subjects and once completed candidates are eligible to apply for membership with the Institute with a further pathway thereafter to chartered status as a Fellow of the Institute (FICS).

Membership of the Institute also opens the door to a network of similar like-minded professionals representing owners, operators, charterers, brokers, shippers, forwarders, carriers, regulators and all aspects of the supply chain relevant to modern port operations.
