The terminal’s 300 metre quay, which has an alongside draught of 14 metres, is capable of handling up to 400,000TEUs per annum.
It is equipped with two post-Panamax quayside gantry cranes, six RTGs and one reachstacker.
The $200m development, a joint venture between PSA International and Samsung, will feature two subsequent development phases, eventually resulting in a 900 metre quay able to handle 1.2mTEUs/year.
