The majority of 14 cranes (35%) are Liebherr’s best-selling LHM 400, characterised by a lifting capacity of 104 tonnes and 48 metres outreach. Interestingly the number two position is occupied by the LHM 150 (32 metres outreach and 40 tonnes safe working load) which is in high demand with smaller ports.
Liebherr says a majority of 25 units (62.5 %) are equipped in four-rope configuration (which is the preferred scope of supply for bulk handling machines) whereas only 15 units (37.5%) are of a two-rope design.
