This online service brings together the services offered by the Customs, Food and Drug Control Agency, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, the Animal Quarantine Centre and the Agricultural Quarantine Centre.
The portal gives preference to importers in terms of goods inspection at the port and can be used by those companies that have established themselves as honest operators. The government plans to introduce the scheme a further nine ports by the end of this year.
