APM Terminals was one of five other bidders. This is the third attempt to privatise the facility, which was designed to handle cargo from Bunei, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The terminal has a 270,000 teu capacity and is served by 300 metres of berthing line with alongside draught of 13 metres.
