Injury time down for APM

APM has revealed positive results from its drive for a safety culture, reporting a decline in Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) to rate of 4.8 from 7.7 a year ago.

Safety Days are designed to reach waterfront labour, port vendors and others using APM Terminals’ facilities to help adoption of best-practice procedures. Globally, more than 16,000 employees have been through the Safety Culture Program since it was launched at the end of 2008.

Today, 22 out of the 48 operational APM terminals have 100 consecutive LTI-free days, with some, like Zeebrugge and Apapa, doubling this.
