India has 17 major port projects

As part of Indias National Maritime Development Programme, 17 major port development projects are to be awarded to private sector investors. These will add 183.5m tonnes of additional capacity. In total, capacity at major ports is to be boosted by 410m tonnes per annum, requiring investment of $13.6bn.
