HPH sacks Amsterdam management team

Hutchison Port Holdings has dismissed the 11 of its 12 senior management team at Amsterdam Container Terminal.

The only member to survive the chop is the operations manager.

HPH acquired the terminal from NYK line in December 2008, following a share swap deal. Nevertheless, the radically designed Ceres Paragon terminal, which opened for business in 2001 offering a capacity of 1m teu, has both struggled to retain existing customers and attract new ones.

Currently, just NYK uses the facility, whose throughput halved to 200,000 teu last year.
