Cold ironing cable innovation for Oslo

The innovative PLUG pushbutton cold-ironing system is to use specially designed power cables for its prototype project in the Port of Oslo. The PLUG shore power system – which stands for power generation during loading and unloading –will link the “Color Magic” ro-pax ferry with shore side power. The Nexans’ manufactured cable needs to be both strong and flexible because of the way that it connects from the ship to the port.
