Imtech developed the system which controls the hybrid energy sources and energy consumers onboard vessels. The green technology includes high-end automation and constantly releases the best energy efficient, lowest emission and cost efficient sailing profile.
The Energy Management System allows for easier and more energy efficient sailing time. One of its main benefits is its ability to save fuels and makes maximum use of renewable sources which will prolong the lifespan of the batteries and generators. Maintenance of vessels will also be reduced due to the diesel generator sets which will be able to run at optimal speed.
Imtech Marine will be exhibiting at this year’s Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine technology international trade fair in September.
The HME Maritime Innovation Award is presented yearly to companies with the most innovative products. The Imtech Marine Energy Management System will be supplied to two Scottish ferry’s for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) which will operate on the Clyde and Scottish Hebrides.
