The cranes will be delivered in two batches with the first six units being commissioned in June 2015 and four in October 2015. This will bring the total of Terex cranes operating at the Port of Ningbo up to 177.
TPS said that the strong performance of Terex RTGs at Ningbo have helped to contribute to the steady growth of the port. Not least because they don’t generate any emissions and create very little noise.
Jinkun Wu, president, Ningbo Port, said: “RTG cranes from TPS are highly productive. The first twelve units (delivered in 1999) are still working reliably at Port Beilun Terminal.”
TPS established a service centre at the port to provide efficient servicing of Terex RTGs effectively eliminating prolonged downtime.
