Telestack supplies bulk reception feeder

Mobile bulk material handling company Telestack has designed and built a bulk reception unit that has the ability to handle throughput rates of up to 2,000 tph. The unit, TITAN T1600-8, can also receive a payload from a CAT 777 Off-Highway Rigid Haul Truck.

Telestack's TITAN1600-8 can handle throughput rates of up to 2,000 tph.

Telestack used modelling software and a team of ports and inland terminal experts to build TITAN T1600-8 for the end user of the project: a producer of construction aggregates in North America, who primarily crushes stone, sand and gravel.

A key part of the project was the client’s need to tip directly onto a unit for barge loading to eliminate double handling of material and, subsequently, reduce cost and loading time, and offer a higher quality of product due to the reduction of material handling time and methods.

TITAN T1600-8 weighs 115 tonnes; measures 35 metres in length and eight metres in height; and has a three metre feeder belt. It is track mounted to allow enable full mobility and flexibility, and fitted with an independent diesel engine to track movement and hydraulic set up function.

The unit also has all electric motors to power the conveyor belts. While the dual power functionality allows the customer to connect to local site power, thus reducing running costs, noise, maintenance and pollution.
