Delivery of the RTGs to Exolgan S.A. container terminal in Buenos Aires is scheduled for late 2020. The Kalmar Hybrid RTG combines the latest lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology with a reduced size fuel efficient diesel power unit. The power unit is used to charge the Li-ion batteries, which power all the lifting and driving operations. The RTG is designed to deliver savings in fuel efficiency, airborne and noise emissions, and maintenance costs.

The order follows the delivery of four hybrid RTGs to the terminal in December.
