Indira boosts Mumbai efficiency

Mumbai Port Authority says that since it transferred container handling operations to the privately owned Indira Container Terminal (ICT) there has been a marked improvement in efficiency.

ICT, which is a joint venture between Dragados-SPL and Gammon India, has entered into a 30-year concession agreement with the ports to develop a $300m offshore container terminal.

However, the monopoly granted to ICT is being challenged in court for a second time in a case put forward by SKS Logistics.
