A Malaysian government bank has granted the port of Tanjung Pelepas a loan of US$196m to finance part of its US$345m expansion plan. The port authority has also moved to scotch rumours that Evergreen Marine may return to Singapore, the move being the result of the disproportionate power that Maersk Sealand exercises at the terminal through its shareholding in PTP.
