TarragonaPort Authority is to issue a tender in respect of the construction ofthe new Isla Baleares quay and a new multi-purpose terminal. An awardis expected to be made before August and work completed by 2011. Abudget of ¢ 150m ($217.7m) is available.
In related news, Tarragona Port Services/Vicport was the only consortium to bid for the 30-year concession to build and operate a clinker terminal at the port of Tarragona.
Investment totals ¢22m ($32m) and the new installation is planned to be operational by the end of this year.
