Hydrostatic straddles for Central America

The Port of Acajutla, El Salvador, will be the first container terminal in Central America to use Terex Noell hydrostatic straddle carriers (model NSC 634 H) to improve operational efficiency.

Terex Noell hydrostatic straddle carriers gain a foothold in El Salvador

The CEPA operating team expects a 25% to 30% reduction in operating costs, due to reduced fuel consumption and wear on parts, compared with previous T-Type units.

Furthermore, the new Terex straddle carrier will provide added flexibility for possible expansions of the terminal.
