Mexican port development underdone

In the last six years of the administration of the Mexican president Felipe Calderon, only one of five projected new major port facilities was actually built: Cuyutlán in Manzanillo.

The findings from a government report also note that Cuyutlán was financed 100% by the state. However, government investment in ports in the first six months of 2012 is 67.8% higher than in the previous year.
