Bromma will supply the Brisbane terminals of Dubai Ports World with 16 YSX40E all-electric yard spreaders, the Port of Beirut, Lebanon, with 14 and the Port of Valencia, Spain, with four. The Port of Beirut has also ordered five Bromma STS45 separating twin spreaders.
The all-electric yard crane spreaders, which have fewer service points and do not require fluids or hoses, reduce energy and emissions and eliminate the risk of groundwater contamination while reducing maintenance and operational costs.
The contracts for the yard spreaders follow orders from Long Beach Container Terminal LLC for 50 ship-to-shore and yard all-electric spreaders and Northport in Malaysia for nine STS45 separating twin spreaders.
Meanwhile, Sweden’sTrelleborg Marine Systems has been awarded three contracts to supply docking and mooring equipment and monitoring software to three LNG projects on Queensland Curtis Island – Queensland Curtis LNG, Gladstone LNG and Australia Pacific LNG.
