The new user interface gives a 3D visualisation of the port, providing the operator with a total overview of operations because each piece of equipment can be monitored in real-time.

Asciano first introduced the AutoStrad solution at its Brisbane terminal in 2005 and it has seen significant improvements in efficiency.
AutoStrad gives the user an option of creating custom filters or a choice of a number of pre-filters including point-of-work association and departure heat maps for improved production control.
Both the automation system and the graphic user interface were created in Australia by Kalmar. The 28 strong team in Sydney work towards developing new technologies to help customers operations run at peak efficiency.
