Ership has already put three of the Terex Gottwal Model 6 mobile harbour cranes in the G HMK 6407 B four-rope-grab variant for bulk handling into operation.
A fourth crane will follow in December 2016.
The new cranes are expected to help Ership handle grain, cereals and copper concentrate in different ports across Spain, expanding TPS’ presence in the country’s bulk terminals.
Each crane has been adapted to the particular needs and conditions of its respective terminal, and features 50-t grab curves, maximum lifting capacities of 100 t, up to 51 m outreach and maximum lifting speeds of up to 110 m/min.
Carlos Nardiz, agencies director at Ership, said the new cranes will help Ership increase its handling rates in the long term, and enable it to respond quickly to the number of customer enquiries for its bulk handling services.
TPS’ senior manager of sales and service mobile harbour cranes Alfredo Canibano added that he was “delighted” that Ership, a long-standing customer of TPS, had once again shown its trust in TPS by placing this new order.
