Jorge Luis Cruz Ballado recently stepped down as head of Lázaro Cárdenas’ port authority, while Alejandro Miranda Oceguera quit Manzanillo as of November 16.
The SCT noted that the director of Puerto Vallarta may replace the incumbent at Mazatlán port authority, leaving new appointments outstanding at Chiapas and Vallarta.
In a statement, the SCT noted that Vice Admiral Miranda had helped improve safety and operations, as well as in sustainability across economic, social and environmental dimensions. Indeed, new rules introduced at Manzanillo give enhanced legal certainty to forwarders and service providers, in addition to improved continuity and efficiency, thereby boosting productivity and competitiveness.
