On offer is a 30-year concession, requiring investment of between $3m and $12m.

The concession is strongly backed by the central government, which views its development as a crucial part of its industrial strategy.

The port, which will be built in Misiones province, should boost traffic on the Paraná River, as well as reducing national logistics costs by transferring traffic from road to inland waterway, in addition to attracting consignments from both Brazil and Paraguay.
