Cargotec has been no stranger in shouting about its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact\u2019s Business Ambition for 1.5\u00b0C, joining leading companies in a promise to pursue science-based measures to limit global temperature rise to 1.5\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Low-carbon<\/strong><\/p>\n Cargotec said that more than 95% of its CO2 emissions occur in the value chain \u2013 meaning raw material sourcing and use-phase of the sold products. Therefore, the emission reduction target is mammoth and expands beyond its own operations.<\/p>\n Having conducted an extensive assessment, Cargotec said it has made the commitment to reduce the CO2 emissions of raw material sourcing and product use phase (Scope 3 emissions) by at least 50% down from 2019 levels by 2030.
