(TIPC) for use at the Port of Keelung. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Ho, vice president, Solutions Sales, Asia-Pacific, Kalmar, said: \u201cWe are proud to be able to continue supporting TIPC as a trusted equipment supplier for the Port of Keelung. Our straddle carriers provide customers with proven performance and safety benefits that Kalmar equipment is known for, plus superior fuel efficiency with lower noise and emissions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur next-generation straddle carriers represent a huge leap forward in many different ways, bringing a wide variety of benefits for terminals using straddle carriers for container handling, with increased reliability and productivity being the most significant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Productive and efficient<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Kalmar straddle carriers delivered to TIPC will be powered by a highly efficient diesel-electric power unit and feature excellent manoeuvrability, quiet operation and easy maintenance. The next-generation machines feature new robust mobile drives, a completely redesigned electrical system for the upper frame and spreader and a more spacious electric cabinet layout. The intuitive user interface is also designed to help to improve productivity.<\/p>\n<p>TIPC\u2019s equipment fleet currently includes seven Kalmar straddle carriers, which have been operating at Keelung for close to two decades.
